Weekly Group chat syllabus:

MONTH 1 – BASE

  • What is structured training?
  • “Base” phase training fundamentals and workouts
  • FTP testing (students will perform an FTP test on their own!)
  • Training Zones (Coggin Classic)
  • Power vs. HR training vs RPE
  • TSS, IF, EF, NP metrics + cadence

MONTH 2 – BUILD

  • “Build” phase training fundamentals and workouts
  •   Performance Management Chart
  • Power Duration Curve
  •   Energy Systems – aerobic vs anaerobic
  •   CTL, TSB, ATL metrics

MONTH 3 – RACE

  • “Race” phase training fundamentals and workouts
  • Tapering
  • Food as fuel basics
  • Mental Strategies for racing
  • *topics will be adjusted based on what I think the group needs to understand the most!
